Injury Release Method

Private Sessions

For about three years, I have struggled with severe pain in my right ankle. After Mariah-Jane worked with me in a single session of the Injury Release Method, I no longer have any pain. I have been able to dance for several hours a day and just returned from a 22-mile hiking trip….still no pain! Additionally, this bodywork has improved my hip flexibility. Prior to her work, I could only hold my leg at hip height; now, I can développé up to my shoulder! Mariah-Jane is fantastic to work with, she is a great listener, highly knowledgeable, and made me feel safe as we worked together.

           Lingering Injury? Or Worse...InjurieS...?

You KNOW you haven’t fully recovered and yet you did all the traditional things?

You even spent a lot of $$$ on physiotherapy and chiropractic adjustments...

BUT...You are STILL plagued by the old injury and not just Pain and Soreness:

-Loss of Trust in the Area
-Less Balance and Sensitivity

-Loss of Flexibility Frustration and Missing out

What have you NOT yet done that is the missing piece?

Releasing the Trauma & Memory from the Nervous System

Come Discover the Amazingly Simple yet Effective:

“Injury Release Method”

Just a few simple steps to be done with a partner Almost too good to be true...

I had this method done on me one evening in a colleague’s hotel room during my Brain Gym certification final practicum. He was generous enough to share this method with myself and a few others. In just a single session that was surprisingly quick,  I was suspicious that anything had actually happened. And yet, when I stood up and did a demi-plie, I was able to go inches deeper on my left side than I had in decades!!

I knew I immediately, I needed to learn it and bring it to the dance community. —Mariah-Jane Thies

Injury Release Method

FAQ

How do I PREPARE for a Session?

  •  Try to have completed eating 60-90 minutes before the session and please do not come hungry
  •  You will be sent a video outlining a protocol from Brain Gym that ideally will be viewed prior to the session in order to save some time during the session, so more injury spots can be worked on
  •  Wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in

What do I need to BRING to a Session?

  •  Water: Pure water, no flavouring

What do I need DURING the Session?

  •  Space to be able to lie down and have room for your partner to be able to be on either side
  •  Space for Right or Left Leg to be able to be stretched to the side

What HAPPENS during a Session?

  •  There are several stages in a Session

A) Preparing the Nervous System

PACE: From Brain Gym

  •  The 4 step protocol is designed to prepare the nervous system to learn and to give clear answers for the muscle checking to follow

**Ideally your partner will participate also

  •  Video sent in advance will walk you though all these steps so that you can easily follow along
  •  Time can be spent in the session or time can be used prior to the session to give more time in the session to addressing specific injuries
  •  If you choose to do this prior to the session, please do so within 30 minutes of the session

B) Instruction on How to Muscle Test/Muscle Check

  •  Muscle Checking is a well used technique in Applied Kinesiology and forms the basis of much of the work in this field
  •  You and your partner will be taught how to do muscle testing/muscle checking

C) Identifying and Clearing Injuries/Traumas that are Still in the Nervous System

  •  This is when the injuries are cleared using the Injury Recall Technique that uses Muscle testing form Applied Kinesiology
  •  The number of injury or trauma spots cleared depends on the time given to learning muscle testing AND the ability to the person’s nervous system to keep clearing
  •  Each person has a limit, but you can expect to clear at least 4-5 areas, with using muscle checking to decide upon the highest priorities

D) Optional: Clearing of Emotions related to the Injury/Trauma

**The partner no longer needs to be present

  •  Injury Release Method clears the trauma out of the tissues, but there is almost a guarantee that there are emotions that are trapped in the system as well
  •  Using the protocol from Emotion Code (created by Dr. Bradley Nelson) emotions can be cleared with Mariah-Jane as the facilitator and doing the work by proxy
  •  Please have a magnet on hand to use (a fridge magnet is sufficient)

What can I expect to have happen AFTER the Session?

  •  A change will be noticed during the session and this change may be noticed after the session or may not
  •  You may notice increased ease in the body, especially in the joints allowing for greater flexibility
  •  You may notice increased sensation in the area(s) that were worked on; this sensation can be greater ease, but could also temporarily be increased noticing of discomfort as sensation returns, much like a thawing
  •  Tension masks sensation, and as tension is released, sensation increases
  •  Increased sensation will improve function, range of movement and balance and coordination
  •  You may also notice nothing in certain areas that were cleared. Why?  When the nervous system is cleared it is brought back to the original state and it will feel natural, because it is our natural state.  Our bodies tend to only “speak” to us and communicate about pain, discomfort or lack of function.

Do I need to do anything AFTER the Session?

  •  Continue to use the PACE protocol whenever you think of it, as it will be something that is always beneficial
  •  Micro Ankle circles can be good for continuous releasing of any locking that occurred in the ankle joint
  •  Nose Figure 8’s are great to keep the top cervical vertebrae to skull released
  •  Drink plenty of water
  •  Have an epsom salts bath if you did the addition of clearing emotions
  •  ***Be sure you always leave yourself with the meridians swept in the correct direction and with “happy” thoughts so that your system is left in the “on” state

Is Follow Up Required?

  •  If you have more injury or trauma spots you wish to have cleared, yes, you can book another session with Mariah-Jane facilitating OR you may wish to continue on your own with your partner facilitating
  •  Continue to do Emotion Code clearing on your own if you wish OR book a follow up session with Mariah-Jane
  •  **For both Injury/Trauma spots and Emotions Mariah-Jane can do muscle checking by proxy to help guide your process

Did YOU Know?

An ankle sprain is one of the most traumatic injuries that can happen?

Why?
Because our nervous system knows that an ankle sprain would have mean likely being the prey because you are at the back of the pack!!
Be sure you fully deal with an ankle sprain or it will likely continue to keep happening!
